Mr. Ernest Boateng – Okrah joins as the LASSIB Society National Evangelist of Ghana

Ernest Boateng-Okrah holds an MBA from the University of Leicester in the UK and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Marine Engineering Certificate from the Indian Navy and worked in the Ghana Navy as a Marine Engineer for 15 years where he honourably resigned and joined Ghana Bauxite Company Limited as the Port Operations Manager and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Takoradi from 2002 to 2007.

He moved from the port to the mine site of Ghana Bauxite Company as the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He joined Tullow Oil Ghana Limited based in Takoradi briefly as the Deputy Logistics Base Manager. He later on joined Gold Fields Ghana Limited, Tarkwa Mine as the Senior Front Line Coach and Six Sigma Facilitator and was moved to the Damang Mine of the same company as the Manager-Business Improvement. He is currently the Continuous Improvement Specialist for Kinross Tasiast in Mauritania.

Ernest obtained Lean Mastery and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certifications and implemented Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma Methodologies since working at Ghana Bauxite Company Limited. He led the implementation of business improvement initiatives at Gold Fields Ghana Limited in both Tarkwa and Damang mines. He has presented on the application of lean six sigma tools and methodologies at conferences and seminars in Ghana. He has also vast experience in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems. Ernest has also experience in conducting training in areas of strategic management, business plan development, business intelligence and conflict management.

Mr. Mark Appiah joins as a Chairman

Mr. Mark Appiah career span over 14 years first with Volta River Authority where he rose from Junior Engineer to Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor within three years with responsibility including Maintenance planning for gas, steam turbine and heat recovery steam generator and its auxiliaries, supervising maintenance activities OEM inspections on the gas and steam turbines, analysing plant and equipment performance to enhance operational reliability and submit appropriate recommendation on modifications and replacement, evaluate and establish new maintenance procedures and implement such procedures to enhance performance.

Mark Appiah currently works with General Electric. He started his career in March 2004 with GE first as a Contract Manager managing $100Million contract which involves managing Customer Relation, Scheduling maintenance events, managing Contract Profitability and site financials/Budget/Invoicing, developing long range project plans, including outage schedules and projected financial expenditures site inventory management and control plans and using six sigma quality programs to maximize productivity and customer service. He is currently a Senior Manager with GE and his current role involves planning and executing projects across Africa in Installation and Maintenance sites covered by GE.

Mr. Elom Kowu joins as a Vice chairman

Elom Kowu is a passionate and ambitious young bank official who first came into contact with quality as a result of his association with astute engineers during his graduate studies at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA 2009-2011) where he studied MBA Finance Option. He is also a BSc Economics (Hons) (May 2004) holder from the Methodist University in Accra

His eight years working life has been with Merchant Bank Ghana limited with the Tema and Takoradi branches

In Tema (October 2005 to March 2009), Elom was in charge of customer service and his duties included but not limited to account opening, customer request and problems resolution within agreed turnaround times,queue management, customer relationship management and general customer service and sales management functions inter alia

He was transfered to Takoradi branch of Merchant Bank( March 2009 to date) where as an operations officer he manages all cash duties in the branch . His duties include but not limited to vault management of both local and foreign currency, process and people management of outsourced tellers and branch tellers. He is a liaison officer between the branch and the Central Bank.

He is a natural leader and has exhibited this wherever he goes.

Mr. Rudolf Addo joins as a Treasurer

Rudolf Anamuah Addo is chartered banker with over 15 years experience in banking. He has been with the Merchant Bank Ghana Ltd all these having worked with various branches, including the Head office, Kumasi, Tema. Koforidua, Konongo and currently with the Takoradi Branch. My work schedule includes the general administration and management of all branch activities in respect of Customer Service, Operations (back office), and Sales.

Scope of work includes responsibility for ensuring maximum sales outreach and sustainability, providing input for the preparation of annual budget, strategy/objectives for the management of the Branch as well as managing and supervising all operational activities at the Branch including Customer Service, Marketing/Sales, Business Banking, Credit Administration, ATM and Remittance operations.

Rudolf is a family man with four kids, two sons and two daughters.
